COFER WOODS
The life of a recently divorced father spins out of control after he and his best friend land a record-breaking catfish at a lake deep in the forest. The two are soon afterward stalked by a figure from the forest who – like the double-antlered deer, two-headed birds, and giant-scale flora rumored to inhabit the area – seems a product of prolonged radiation from the nearby, decommissioned nuclear testing site.
Cofer Woods is Frank Reddy’s third novel. He is also the author of Imminent Domain (2021) as well as Eyes on the Island (2016), which garnered praise from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Creative Loafing, and numerous critics and bloggers. He lives in Atlanta, Ga. with his son and daughter.
“Frank Reddy’s Cofer Woods lays bare the horrors of small-town lore, the mistakes we hide, the regrets we make. A genuinely creepy and oddly touching tale.”—Andy Davidson, Bram Stoker Award nominee and author of The Boatman’s Daughter
